A Samhain spectacle in flame and sound at UPMC Nowlan Park for Savour Kilkenny as it celebrates 20 years
Savour Kilkenny 2026 will come to a spectacular close this October with a special live performance from one of Ireland’s most iconic bands, Kíla, as part of an immersive Samhain celebration at UPMC Nowlan Park.
The Samhain Spectacle in Flame & Sound with Kíla takes place on Monday, October 26, at 7.30pm, with doors opening at 7pm. The event promises a unique fusion of live music, fire, dance and ancient Irish tradition, bringing the curtain down on this year’s Savour Kilkenny programme in spectacular style.
Kíla, renowned for their energetic and distinctive live performances, will provide the soundtrack to an immersive journey through the traditions of Samhain, the ancient Irish festival marking the transition from summer to winter.
Joining the band will be dancers, musicians and fire artists from Pyro Collective, who will transform the venue with flame, rhythm and movement.
The Samhain Spectacle celebrates themes of abundance, gratitude and belonging, bringing ancient ritual together with contemporary performance to create an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages.
“We wanted to create something that would feel truly special as the finale to Savour Kilkenny, this was made possible with additional support from the Failte Ireland’s Strategic Tourism Festival Investment Scheme ” said Ger Mullally. “Harvest and Samhain is deeply rooted in Irish culture and tradition, and combining that with the incredible live energy of Kíla and the spectacle of Pyro Collective will make this a night to remember.”
The performance will take place at UPMC Nowlan Park, with entry via the Hebron Road entrance. Tickets are priced at €10 plus booking fee, with a special family ticket for four available for €30 plus booking fee.
With a show duration of approximately one hour, the event offers families and visitors the opportunity to experience a spectacular evening of Irish music, culture and performance as Savour Kilkenny 2026 draws to a close.
