The project will start next Thursday
Women of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in a very special collaborative project which will take place over the coming weeks.
Commotions in Motion — a free, collaborative project devised by local theatre maker, Ita Morrissey has a few key elements - movement, fun and connection.
The project will explore the powerful theme of change and together the group will experiment, create and shape an original movement piece from the ground up.
"We store so much in our bodies, and one of the most natural and effective ways to release and restore harmony is through movement — bringing body, mind, and heart back into balance," said Ita adding that there is a fun element to the project.

"Lightness is key. Joy is the main ingredient here — essential for a fulfilling life. If we don’t schedule it in, other distractions tend to take over, so let’s make space for it together and connect to ourselves and each other. This will be a safe non judgment space where we will explore different themes with somatic practices. If you want to feel good then this is the right place!
"Creation is a key part of the process — there’s a deep satisfaction in making something together. Life is art, and art is life. Don’t worry though — you’ll be the instrument, I’ll be the conductor, and together we’ll make some magic.
"Ultimately, this is an opportunity to move, feel good, gently challenge yourself in a safe and supportive space and embody the beauty of being alive.
Commotions in Motion is open to women of all backgrounds who are interested in art, movement, storytelling or simply stepping outside their comfort zone. This is a free and welcoming space and no experience is necessary.
