The exhibition is currently running at the Mayfair Library PICTURE: Vicky Comerford
The Acorns to Oaks group is a gathering of creative people who meet in the Neighbourhood Hall in Kilkenny and they are currently exhibiting their work at the Mayfair Library.
The participants explore different art forms, visual and literary as well as crafts, at their own pace. Creative writing, poetry, painting, drawing, felting, stitch: the mediums are directed by each participant's curiosity and interest.
In 2025 they were funded by Creative Ireland as part of a larger project called Living Artfully. This project has enabled them to continue meeting as an independent group with new members joining in 2026.
After a successful exhibition in Borris House last year they are now exhibiting together in the Mayfair Library. They will be showing new works in the Learning Centre of the Butler Gallery in April later this year.
The exhibition opened last weekend and will run at the Mayfair Library until February 28 (Saturday). All are welcome.
