Two Kilkenny athletes will test themselves against the world’s best in September.

Kilkenny City Harriers duo Peter Lynch and Cliodhna Manning have been selected by Athletics Ireland for the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.

Lynch, who is coached by Alistair Cragg, will compete in the men’s marathon. He will be hoping to build on the form which saw him set a new national 10 mile time in Washington before breaking the Irish national record in Dusseldorf in April.
