At last week’s Kilkenny Chamber Chat hosted by the Kilkenny Café, President Anne Barber presented the Chamber’s Special Recognition Award to Michael Rossiter.

Michael was unable to attend at November’s Kilkenny Business Awards, where the presentation was announced.

President Anne Barber said that the award was presented to celebrate the 40 years that Michael dedicated to repairing the people of Kilkenny’s shoes and boots, and that there was widespread consternation when news broke of his retirement!

The Chamber wanted to mark this occasion and felt that Michael was a worthy recipient of the Special Recognition Award this year.
