Infant hospitalised with 'serious injuries' after incident in Callan - Kilkenny Live

An infant boy has sustained serious injuries following an incident involving two dogs at a residential property in Callan, County Kilkenny this afternoon (Wednesday).

Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 3pm.

The boy is receiving treatment at Children's Health Ireland, Crumlin and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

The scene is currently preserved pending a technical examination.

The dogs have been removed by the Dog Warden and arrangements are being made with the local veterinary services for their euthanisation.

Investigations are ongoing.
