A Victorian oak cased and inlaid wall clock by William Mercer of Patrick Street in Kilkenny is amongst a plethora of interesting lots going under the hammer in Castlecomer next week.
“The Making Room Auction” from Fonsie Mealy Auctioneers will feature in excess of 700 items, offering an extensive and carefully curated selection of affordable antiques, quality furniture, paintings, decorative arts and collectibles.
Another quirky lot is a Georgian period mahogany gentleman’s kneehole desk.

Furniture collectors are in for a treat with an attractive carved and turned oak English arts and crafts period sideboard expected to generate a lot of interest.
For the fine art enthusiast, a Sir Edwin Henry Landseer work, “The Monarch of the Glen”, is sure to impress.
The auction takes place on Feb 4 (Wednesday) and Feb 5 (Thursday) at the Avalon House Hotel (commencing each day at 11am).
Public viewings at Castlecomer Business Park on Jan 30 (Friday) and Feb 3 (Tuesday) from 9.30am to 5pm.
