An Garda Síochána in Kilkenny have issued a fresh warning to the public following a spate of scam incidents that have caused growing concern in the locality, with Gardaí reporting an increase in fraudulent phone calls in which criminals pose as members of the force.
"People getting call from 01 818182155 claiming to be GARDA POLICE. The voice then states that your identity has been compromised and then looks to send you a link," a garda spokesperson said.
"Do not engage. SCAM," they added.
