Kilkenny District Court has convicted a man of driving a scooter without insurance.

Garda Any Neill indicated to Mr Boudriche to stop. He inspected the e-scooter and it was found that the power level was within the parameters of an MPV, meaning it required insurance to be driven on the road.

Mr Boudriche did not have insurance.

Solicitor Chris Hogan said his client was unaware of the law at the time but he entered a guilty plea to the charge and no longer has the e-scooter.

Judge Geraldine Carthy convicted Mr Boudriche of driving without insurance and imposed a fine of €300.
