Michael (Mick) McCauley
The death has occurred of Michael (Mick) McCauley, “Kilcar”, Athy Road, Carlow, formerly of Athy and Kilkenny, January 16th 2023 peacefully at home in the company of his wife and children. Beloved husband of Phyllis and much loved father of Cathriona and Noel. Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughter, son, sisters Kathleen and Frances, son-in-law Sébastien, daughter-in-law Marta, grandchildren Yseult and Oscar, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his siblings Eamonn, Jack, Madge, Bridget, Pauline, Theresa, Brendan, Noel and Ray.
Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10am in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow. Private Cremation will follow at a later date. Family flowers only, please. James (Curly) Brennan
The death has occurred of James (Curly) Brennan, Kilkenny Street, and formerly of Chatsworth, Clogh, Castlecomer, Kilkenny, and White Plains, New York, on 15th January, 2023. Peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his mother Kathleen, father Lar, first wife Mary, son Seán, sister Eileen and brother Donal. James will be sadly missed by his wife Betty, daughter Colleen, son-in-law Anthony, daughter-in-law Cari, grandchildren Anthony (Jnr.), Harmony, and Katelyn, step-son Tony, his partner Lisa, step grandson Adam, and his brothers John, Martin, sisters Kathy, Mary, Esther, sister-in-law Mary, brothers-in-law Mike, Gino, and Gerry, nieces and nephews, extended family, and a large circle of friends. James (Jim) Phelan
The death has occurred of James (Jim) Phelan, Garrygaug, Mullinavat, Kilkenny / Kilmacow, Kilkenny. Late of Mahon & McPhilips and Paper Mills. Jim passed away unexpectedly on Saturday. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Birdie, (nee Barron), son Kenneth, sister Mary (O’Dwyer), nephew, nieces, cousins and many friends. Reposing on Tuesday at Donnacha Doyle and Sons, Grannagh, Kilmacow from 5pm with prayers at 7:30pm. Arriving on Wednesday at St. Beacon’s Church, Mullinavat for Requiem Mass at 12noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Billy Walsh
The death has occurred of Billy Walsh, Castlecomer Road, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny, on the 15th of January Billy passed away peacefully, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff at Castlecomer District Hospital, Co. Kilkenny. Predeceased by his wife Margaret, his son Brian, brother Tom and sister Mary. Sadly missed by his daughters Patricia (Athlone), Karen and Nicola, grandchildren, sons-in-law John Ruane, Tony Cleere and Jason Dempsey, daughter-in-law Alexis , his brother Brendan and sister Veronica Lacey, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at his residence from 3p.m. on Wednesday (January 18th) concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 6.30pm. Funeral on Thursday after 11am. Requiem Mass in St. Canice's Church to St. Kieran's Cemetery. Billy's Requiem Mass will be live streamed on www.stcanicesparish.ie
Paul Cantwell
The death has occurred of Paul Cantwell, Clongowen, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny, and late of Westfield, Kilkenny, on 13th January 2023, unexpectedly. Paul, predeceased by his loving sister Rebecca, sadly missed by his heartbroken partner Sarah and their children Lauren and Aimee, his beloved mother Vera, his extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at his mother's home, 6 Westfield, Outrath Road, on Tuesday (17th January) from 5pm with Rosary and Funeral Prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon in St. Fiacre's Church, Loughboy. Funeral afterwards to St. Kieran's Cemetery. House is private on Wednesday morning please.

Edward (Eddie) Dolan
The death has occurred of Edward (Eddie) Dolan, Chapel Lane, Moneenroe, Castlecomer, Kilkenny / formerly of Moone, Co. Kildare & London/Surrey, on 14th January, 2023. Peacefully at home in the care of his daughter, Shirley and son-in-law Mario. Predeceased by his loving wife Rita. Eddie will be sadly missed by his loving family, daughter Shirley, son Gerald, son-in-law Mario, grandchildren Luca, Lorcán, and Inés, brother and sisters, brother and sister in-laws, extended family abroad, friends and neighbours.
