Tributes have been paid to a 34 year-old Kilkenny mother who passed away suddenly at home.
Aislinn Nelson Comerford passed away on Monday, July 22 unexpectedly, at her home in Lakeview Drive, Lakeside, Kilkenny.
The beloved wife of Dara and darling mother of baby Liam, Aislinn will be dearly missed by her heartbroken family, parents Tom and Esther Comerford, sisters Tania, Audrey, Ruth and Christine, brothers Thomas and Matthew, as well as parents-in-law Gordon and Marlene Nelson, grandfather-in-law Pat Holohan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and her many friends.
Aislinn's funeral took place on Thursday, where family and friends gathered in the Church of the Holy Trinity, Dunmore to pay their final respects.
A friend led condolences online, saying: "You will never be forgotten, I cannot turn a corner in Kilkenny without thinking of what we may have gotten up to in our wilder days. A beautiful person inside and out, hoping you rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with your little Liam, Dara and all your family."
A cousin of Aislinn posted on Facebook about her tragic passing, adding that her "warm smile, warm personality, and big heart will be deeply, deeply missed by so many".
A former coworker from Bank of Ireland said Aislinn was "such an amazing lady, I had the privilege of working alongside her in my early days with BOI in Kilkenny. Her beautiful smile would light up a room, always guaranteed to make you laugh she was just an absolute gem."
