The death has occurred of Dr Bill (James William) O'Connell, Ocean Crest, Arklow, Wicklow / Ballyfoyle, Kilkenny. Peacefully at St. Vincent's Hospital following a short illness. Beloved husband, father and grandfather. Predeceased by his son Billy. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife Ann, his children Jim, Sarah, Catherine and Larry, sons-in-law Declan and Paul, daughters-in-law Martina and Iveta, grandchildren Sophie, Liam, Molly, Charlie, Darby, Teddy and Billie-Pip, brother-in-law Fr. Larry Mulligan, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many dear friends.
Reposing at Sweeney’s Funeral Home, Arklow from 2pm until 5pm on Sunday. Private removal from his residence on Monday morning to Sts Mary & Peter’s Church arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am. The death has occurred of Bridget (Bridie) Mullins (née Walsh), Templeogue, Dublin / Ballyragget, Kilkenny. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff at Beneavin House, Nursing Home. Bridget will be very sadly and deeply missed by her beloved husband Denis, children Gerard (Garry), Cathal, Denise and Dermot, granddaughters Emma and Sarah, daughter-in-law June, son-in-law Brian and extended family, friends and neighbours.
Funeral Mass on Monday, May 19, 2025 in the Church of the Holy Spirit Ballyroan at 10am followed by burial in Mount Venus Cemetery. Family flowers only please. The death has occurred of Brendan Roche, Mooncoin Residential Care Centre and late of St. Killian's Place, Ferrybank, Waterford, who died on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, aged 87 years. Peacefully, in the tender care of his family and all the staff at Mooncoin Residential Care Centre, predeceased by his wife Breda (née Lacey), parents, brothers and sisters. Brendan will be sadly missed by his daughters Hilary and Veronica, son Tony, grandson Martin, granddaughters Jennifer, Christin, Antonia and Elizabeth, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Brendan's removal will take place on Thursday, May 15, to The Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank, arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am after which Brendan will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
