The death has occurred of former Kilkenny County Councillor Melissa O'Neill, Abbeylands, Ferrybank,Waterford, and late of Bruff, Co. Limerick, who died on Monday, September 15, 2025, aged 54 years. Peacefully, in the tender care of her loving family and all the staff at The South East Palliative Care Centre, Oak Ward, University Hospital Waterford, Predeceased by her parents Paddy and Mary. Melissa will be sadly missed by her son Shane, daughter Chloe, grandson Leo, Shane's Dad Michael, brothers Richard and Pat, sisters Yvonne, Shirley, Maria, Sandra and Fiona, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Melissa will be reposing in Powers Funeral Home, Ferrybank on Wednesday, September 17, from 5.30pm until 7.30pm, Melissa's removal will take place on Thursday, September 18, walking from her home to The Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank, arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am, after which Melissa will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery DONATIONS LINK

The death has occurred of Marites Nebrija, 33 Togher Way, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny and formerly Baguio City, The Philippines, on September 15, 2025, peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny surrounded by her loving family and close friends. Predeceased by her parents and sister in The Philippines. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her adored children J.P. Jacob, Aoife and Kady, her partner Aidan, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of friends in Ireland and The Philippines.
Reposing at Doyle's Funeral Home, Urlingford Co. Kilkenny (Eircode E41 XO38) on Wednesday, September 17, from 6pm until 7.30pm. Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of the Assumption, Urlingford arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. Interment afterwards in St. Kieran's Cemetery Johnstown.
The death has occurred of Eileen Bridgett (née Whelan), Fiddawn, Inistioge, Co. Kilkenny, formerly of Ballyine, Borris, Co. Carlow. Eileen, who was in her 95th year, passed away peacefully in the care of the staff of the Barrow Ward, St. Luke's Hospital Kilkenny on Monday, September 15. Predeceased by her husband Morgan, parents Peter and Ellen, brothers Fr. Pat, Dan, Shem, Seán, Frank and sister Sheila. She will be deeply missed by daughters Anne and Ellen, adored granddaughters Joanne, Rebecca and Christine, great-grandchildren Molly and Joe, son-in-law Joseph, her nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.
Reposing at her home in Fiddawn, Inistioge, Co. Kilkenny R95 F9C4 on Wednesday, September 17, from 3pm to 7pm. Prayers at 6pm. Removal to Duiske Abbey, Graignamanagh at 10.30am for 11am Requiem Mass on Thursday, September 18, followed by burial in Calvary cemetery. House private on Thursday morning please.
The death has occurred of Sr Pauline (Mary) Lawlor, Daughter of Charity of St Vincent de Paul and late of Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny, on September 14, unexpectedly in the loving presence of the staff and sisters at 109 Mount Prospect Avenue, Clontarf. Predeceased by her Parents Margaret and Joseph, brothers Billy and Marty. Deeply regretted by her brother Sean and by her sisters Margo (Butler) and Pauline (Carroll), nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, the Community of the Daughters of Charity, extended family relatives and friends.

Peacefully, at her home in the tender care of her family, predeceased by her parents Michael James and Mary, brothers John, Roger and Michael James, sister Margaret.
