The death has occurred of Karen Young O'Mahoney, 2 Friarsbridge, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny. She died surrounded by her loving family in St. Vincent's Hospital, Dublin.
The death has occurred of Josie Whelan (née Roche), Ballavarra, Graignamanagh, Kilkenny. Predeceased by her loving husband Paddy, daughter Catherine, granddaughter Sabrina, great-granddaughter Saoirse and brothers Richie, John and Aidan. Josie died peacefully at home in the loving tender care of her family. Sadly, missed by her loving daughter Nora, sons Sean, Pat and Declan, sister Eily, brother Paddy, grandchildren Lisa, Nicola, Christopher, Noreen, Dean, Niamh, Tony, Megan, Michaela, Colleen, Ann and Oisín, great-grandchildren Keleigh, Keeva, Killian, Katie, Mia, Paddy, Hannah, Imogen, Josie and Rian, sister-in-law Rosie, brother-in-law Paddy, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Cooney's Funeral Home, New Ross, on Tuesday, November 11, from 3pm concluding at 7pm, pausing for Rosary at 6pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, November 12, at 11am in Church of The Assumption, The Rower, followed by burial afterwards in The Rower Cemetery. The death has occurred of Ellen Bridget Somers, Coon East, Coon, Kilkenny, who died at Beechwood Nursing Home, Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow. Deeply regretted by her sons, Martin and Michael, her daughter-in-law, Gráinne, her granddaughter, Elin, relatives and friends.
Reposing in Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlecomer, on Tuesday from 3pm, with Funeral Prayers at 6pm, followed by removal to St Brigid's Church, Coon, (via her residence). Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Pat passed away peacefully in the care of the staff of Borris Lodge nursing home on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Predeceased by his sister Kathleen, brothers Tony and Michael. The death has occurred of Catherine (Kay) Whelan (née Hennessy), Riverview, Gallowshill, Kilkenny, and late of Wallstown, Tullaroan. Kay passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on November 9, 2025 at University Hospital, Waterford after a long illness borne with dignity and courage. Kay will be dearly missed by her loving husband Noel, daughter Yvonne, sons Fran, Billy, Darren, Gary, Conor, Shane and James, brother Eddie, sisters Mary, Nora, Sheila and Helen, daughters-in-law Gráinne and Ann, son-in-law Mairtín, her 15 adored grandchildren, extended family, kind neighbours and her many friends. Kay is predeceased by her parents Billy and Julia Hennessy, infant children Thomas and Mary and infant granddaughter Rinoa.

Adored by her grandchildren Gary, Adam, Emma, Grace, Hannah, Zoe, Mia, Áine and Dáire, nieces, nephews extended family and her many friends.
