The death has occurred of Maura Egan (née Brennan), Clondalkin, Dublin 22 and formerly of Ballycallan, Co. Kilkenny, on November 18, 2025, peacefully at St. James's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Pre-deceased by her parents James and Mary, brothers Matty and Denis and sons James and Keith. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband Paul, sons William, Paul, Anthony, Kenneth and John, daughters-in-law Madelyn, Ekaterina, Edel, Karen and Olivia, grandchildren Kelis, Michael, Tíarnah, Darcey, James, Kate, Reeva, Ellis, Kade and Ellie, brothers Liam, Jack and Seamus, sister and best friend Breda, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and large circle of friends especially Rosie, Karl, Hallie and Luke
Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Monastery Road, Clondalkin Village (D22K602) on Thursday, November 20, from 4pm to 7pm. Removal from her residence by Oliver Reilly Funeral Directors on Friday, November 21, at approx. 9:15am to arrive at Newlands Cross Crematorium Chapel for a Celebration of Life Service at 10am, followed by cremation. The death has occurred of Margaret Geoghegan (née Moroney), Lacken Drive, Kilkenny, and formerly of Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. Margaret, passed away on November 16, 2025, in the wonderful care of the staff at Kilkenny Care Centre. Predeceased by her beloved husband Michael (Mickey) and her niece Janet. Margaret will be sadly missed by her sister Kathleen (London) and her husband John, nieces Carole and Susan and their husbands Darrell and Stuart, grandnieces and nephews Billy, Amy, Alex, John and Kate, great grandnieces and nephew Alaya, Reggie, Hallie and Harper, sister-in-law Teresa, brother-in-law Jimmy, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Ellen T. (Nell) (née Eastwood), Gowran, Kilkenny, and formerly of The Rise, Bishopstown and Cookstown, Co. Tyrone, on November 16, 2025, peacefully at Rosenalee Care Centre, Ballincollig. Ellen T. (Nell) (née Eastwood) beloved wife of the late John and loving mother of Gerard, Sean, Bryan and Barry. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters-in-law Marian, Berna and Beam, grandchildren Colm, Jack, Ronan, Garrett, Angie, Tara, Sean, Eoin and Ellie, great-grandchildren Jude, Franny, Matilda, Sophie and Finn, brother Gerry Eastwood, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Margaret (Rita) Henderson (née Hickey), Donaghmede and formerly of Rathdowney, Co Laois and Urlingford, Co Kilkenny, on November 13, 2025. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of staff at Tallaght University Hospital. Beloved wife of the late John (Seán) and loving mother to Hilda, Michael, John, Philip, Anne, William and David. Rita will be very sadly missed by her sons and daughters, son-in-law Stephen, daughter-in-law Sally, adored grandchildren Dylan, Lochlan, Lillian, Rowan, Ellie, brothers Tommy and Michael, sisters Maura, Ann and Bridget (also remembering her late siblings Donal and Angela), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

The death has occurred of Brendan O’Brien, Fr. Murphy Square and formerly of O’Brien’s Bicycle Shop, James’s Street, Kilkenny City, peacefully at this residence on Sunday, November 16, 2025 surrounded by his loving and caring family. Predeceased by his devoted wife Ann. Brendan will be forever missed by his son John, daughter-in-law Kathleen and adored grandchildren Karen, Aoife, Jason and their partners Ray, Mossie and Shaina, extended family, good neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday (19th) in St. Mary’s Cathedral at 11am followed by burial in Foulkstown Cemetery. The Requiem Mass will be live streamed here Brendan’s Funeral Cortege will walk from his residence Wednesday at 10.30am to St. Mary’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 11am. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the staff in The Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare Team, G.P Dr Conall Mac Conmara, Ayrfield Medical Centre and The Public Health Nursing Staff for all their care and support given to Brendan and his family during his illness.
