John Maher

The death has occurred of John Maher, Oldcourt, Templeorum Piltown, Co Kilkenny. John passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2026 under the tender care of his loving family and the ICU team at University Hospital Waterford. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Ann, his infant son, John Paul, his parents Neddie and Mary and his brother, William. John will be dearly missed by his loving children, Gerard, Deirdre, Marie and Paul, his adored grandchildren Jack, Michael, Luke, Anna, Sophia, Olivia and Yuri, sons-in-law Maurice and Thomas, daughter-in-law, Svetlana, sisters Hannah Mae and Veronica, nephews, nieces, sister-in-law, Mary, extended family, neighbours and his wide circle of friends.

John will be reposing at Walsh's Funeral Home Carrick-on-Suir on Thursday, March 19, from 6pm to 7.30pm. Arriving at the Church of the Assumption Templeorum on Friday for funeral mass at 11am, followed by cremation at the Island Crematorium Ringaskiddy Co Cork at 3pm. Family flowers only donations to Palliative Care University Hospital Waterford. https://waterfordhospice.ie/donate/ House private at all times.

Mary Love (née Loughlin)

The death has occurred of Mary Love (née Loughlin), 5 Fr. Raftice Place, Moneenroe, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny. Mary passed away suddenly, but peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 15, 2026. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Mary Loughlin, sisters Margaret, Shelia and brother Paddy, sister-in-law Rita, brother-in-laws Owen and Tommy. Mary will be deeply missed by her loving children Siobhan, Aoife, Mary and Adrian, her adored grandchildren Molly, Ryan, Alfie, Shay, Erin and Aoife, sisters Kathleen and Elizabeth, sons-in-law Seamus and Kevin, daughter-in-law Jess, Aoife's partner Colm, brothers-in-law Seamie, Paddy, Billy and sister-in-law Joan, her lifelong friends Frances and Ann, along with a large circle of friends, her colleagues in Auroa, and her two furry friends Ollie and Ruby.

David T. Green

The death has occurred of David T. Green, The Old Post Office, Dovea, Kilahara, Thurles, Tipperary / Whitegate, Cork / Shannon, Clare / Kilkenny City, Kilkenny. Peacefully, after a long illness bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family. In the wonderful care of the staff at the Community Hospital of the Assumption, Thurles and University Hospital Limerick. Predeceased by his daughter Bethrose, father Ivor, mother-in-law Valerie Tait (Ballyvoloon House, Whitegate, Co. Cork). He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family; devoted wife Rachel (née Tait) sons David-óg, Finn and Sam, mother Joan Green (née Lennon, Ayrefield, Kilkenny City), sisters Fiona White and Orla Black, father-in-law Jim Tait, nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, life-long friend John O'Neill, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing in Hugh Ryan's Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles (E41 CP59) on Wednesday, March 18, from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Service on Thursday, March 19, at the Church of St. Michael and All Angels, Corkbeg, Whitegate, Co. Cork at 2pm. Followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Deborah Ballard

The death has occurred of Deborah Ballard, Newtown, Borris, Co Carlow/ Kilkenny.  Died peacefully at home with her beloved spouse, Carole on Monday March 16. Sadly missed by her beloved spouse, Carole Nelson; by her brother Dale; her daughter Carla, son-in-law Johnny, grandchildren, Olivia and Max and by her many friends and family.

Deborah will be reposing at her home in Newtown, Borris, Co. Carlow. Eircode: R95H520 on Tuesday from 4-8pm.  Deborah’s Funeral Service will be held in Joyce’s Funeral Home, Borris, Co. Carlow (Eircode: R95DV76) at 2pm on Thursday, March 19. Private burial. Woodbrook Natural Burial Grounds.
