The death has occurred of Neddy Neary, St. Mary's Avenue, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny, on March 30, 2026, peacefully at University Hospital Waterford in the presence of his loving family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Betty (née Forrestall), son-in-law Alan Kenny, his parents Michael and Ellen, sister Mary and brother Patsy. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, daughter Gillian, son Barry, daughter-in-law Ciara, his adored grandchildren Courtney, Kerri, Lorcan, Fionn and Michaela, sisters Phyllis (O'Brien), Nannie (O'Brien), Babby (Looby), brother Francie, nieces, nephews, the extended Kenny family Castlecomer, Forrestall family Moyne and Tobin family Castlecomer, his best friend Ann Butler, cousins, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at Doyle's funeral home Urlingford (Eircode E41 XO38) on Wednesday, April 1, from 5m to 7pm pausing for prayers at 6pm. Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of the Assumption, Urlingford arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. Interment afterwards in St. Kieran's Cemetery, Johnstown. The death has occurred of Esther Walsh (née Dunne), Golf Links View, Granges Road and late of Kilcreene, Kilkenny, on March, 2026 (peacefully) at Kilkenny Care Centre. Beloved wife of the late Michael and much loved mother of Christine, John and Michael. Esther will be sadly missed by her children, sister Lily, grandchildren Jason, Alva, Laura, Róisín, Jessica and Robert, daughters-in-law Olive and Breda, son-in-law Seán, great-grandsons Jack, Calaen and Cuan, Jason's wife Tara, Laura's husband Kevin, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

The death has occurred of Murtagh Somers, Crettenclough, Coon, Kilkenny. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on March 27, 2026 at St. Luke’s General Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by his parents, Murtagh and Mary, and his granddaughter Ellen. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, his children Paschal, Marie, Marty, Anthony and Mairead, his brothers Stephen and Bernard, his daughter-in-law Nicola and son-in-law Trevor, his adored grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Michael (Mike) Somers, Croghtenclogh Bilboa via Carlow, Coon, Kilkenny. Predeceased by his parents Julia and Peter, and his sisters Mary, Josie Healy and Nancy Moran. Deeply regretted by his brother Tom, his sister Teresa Rogers, his sister-in-law Julia, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of James O'Halloran, Kilcraggan, Mooncoin, Co Kilkenny. James passed away peacefully in the tender care of the staff of Mooncoin Residential Care Centre, just shy of his 94th birthday. Predeceased by his parents Martin and Margaret, his brothers Donal and Richard and his sister Breda. Sadly missed by his nieces Aileen and Sheila and their families in Scotland, his cousin Josephine and the wider Butler family, the Dermody family neighbours and his many friends.

The death has occurred of Noreen Hurley (née Frawley), Aylesbury, Freshford Road, Kilkenny and formerly of Goslingstown and Abbey Street, Kilkenny and Limerick City. Noreen passed away unexpectedly on her birthday, March 29, 2026, in the Beacon Hospital. She will be terribly missed by her heartbroken husband Sean, daughters Martine, Karyn, Aisling, Cathy and Faye and her adored grandchildren Ralph, Evan, Morgan, Juliette, Carla, Arthur, Massey, Anna, Ed, Evie and Max. She will also be missed by her brothers Brian, Tom and Noel, sister Colette, sons-in-law, extended family, friends and neighbours. Noreen is predeceased by her parents John and Kathleen Frawley and grandchildren Robin and Jane.
Requiem Mass for Noreen will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 1, at 11am in St. Patrick's Church, Kilkenny. Funeral afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery. House strictly private please.
The death has occurred of Kathleen Doyle (née Fitzpatrick), 46 Woodview, Freshford, Kilkenny / Carrigallen, Leitrim. Died peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of St. Luke's Hospital Kilkenny, in her 93rd year. Pre-deceased by her husband James, sister Mary, brothers John Francis and Patrick, and son-in-law Tom Brennan. Beloved mother of Mary, Father Gerald (MHM), John (Jack), Carmel, Michael (Mick), James (Jim), Pat, Catherine and Teresa. Deeply regretted by her brothers Jim and Michael, sisters Margaret, Sr. Regina (Sister of Mercy) and Breege, sister-in-law Eileen Doyle, daughters-in-law Pauline, Liz and Emma, sons-in-law Patsy, Robert and Gavin, adoring grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
