Ballykeeffe Social Farm to hold Open Day in rural Kilkenny

Are you interested in Social Farming? You can find out all about the experience at an open day in Kilkenny, next week.

Aneta and Marcin Liszka are the newest farmers to be activated as Social Farmers after completing their training with Social Farming Ireland.

The farm at Castle Farm is bringing the number of Social Farms in Kilkenny to seven. Situated at Ballykeeffe Castle Gate and is home to donkeys, sheep and hens. As well as the care of the animals there are different gardening activities available at the farm along with household activities including baking. The farm is a safe place to take part in a wide variety of farming activities. The encouragement from Aneta and Marcin makes everyone feel welcome on the farm and makes for a enjoyable farm experience.

Social Farming provides people who use services with the opportunity for inclusion, to increase self-esteem and to improve health and well-being by taking part in day to day farm activities on a family farm.

Further information can be found on our website www.socialfarmingireland.ie or by attending the open day.
