'We know each other fairly well' - Kilkenny schools brace for Leinster final

Age-old rivals collide once again on Saturday afternoon as St Kieran's College and CBC Kilkenny meet in the Leinster Colleges  Senior A Final in UPMC Nowlan Park.

Saturday's local derby is the third year running that the two Kilkenny schools have met in the final with Kieran’s prevailing on both occasions. The 2025 version was only decided via a penalty shootout in arguably one of the game's of the year.

But despite CBC's recent poor final record, manager Seamus Dwyer is optimistic.

"We know each other fairly well at this stage, we're after being in the last three senior finals and we came out the wrong side of those.

"We're anxious to get back there," he added.
