St Kieran’s College saw their Leinster Inter-Firm Hurling Championship campaign come to an end on Monday night after suffering a disappointing defeat to CJ Sheeran (Laois) in Heywood.

Despite periods of positive play from the Kilkenny City school, St Kieran’s were unable to turn the game in their favour.

Shane Walsh, Conor Delaney and Martin Walsh were among those who featured for St Kieran’s over the course of the championship, contributing to a run that ultimately fell short at this stage.
CJ Sheeran’s victory sees them progress to the Leinster Intermediate semi-final, where they will take on Dublin Dun Laoghaire ETB, as they continue their push for provincial honours.
