Two members of the public were assaulted when one of them asked a man to stop urinating on the side of the street.
The incident happened at approximately 9.25am on Jacob Street on Thursday.
“The offending male was found urinating and a member of the public asked him to stop and he became aggressive and pushed him,” a garda spokesman said.
Another member of the public who tried to challenge the offender was also pushed.
The incident was reported to gardaí who are following a definite line of enquiry.
