Patrick Street in Kilkenny City will be one-way for tomorrow and Wednesday

Traffic diversions will be in place

PATRICK STREET

Traffic restrictions were in place on Patrick Street earlier this year

Patrick Street in Kilkenny City will be one-way city bound from 7am until 7pm tomorrow and Wednesday to allow roadworks to take place.

The city centre street has seen traffic restrictions and closures on a number of occasions in recent months for surface works and water mains replacement.

This latest work is a resurfacing project following the final phase of water works. The scheme began back in April, but it overran, and was then suspended in June to alleviate disruption during the busy tourist season.

Now, on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 23 and 24, the street will be one-way, travelling into the city, to facilitate the works. Traffic diversion will be in place and local access will be provided.
