There has been ‘significant interest’ from the hotel sector in relation to a site in the Abbey Quarter.
That’s according to the Development Director with Kilkenny Abbey Quarter Development Partnership, Tony Lauhoff.
The news comes following reports that the site is being brought to market.

Mr Lauhoff told Kilkenny Live that the scope for developing a hotel on the site ‘is provided for within the Abbey Quarter Masterplan’.
“Many different hotel models are being considered due to the varying needs of interested parties,” he said.
“Final plans will also be subject to a rigorous planning process,” he added.
