A popular Kilkenny amenity area is temporarily closing from today (Monday, August 11) until Thursday (August 14).
Kilkenny Castle have confirmed that the playground in the Castle Park is undergoing 'essential maintenance'.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused," a spokesperson said.
The playground has proven to be a popular destination for both local families and visitors alike.

Recent additions to the playground have included a new wheelchair accessible roundabout and a sensory wall specifically designed for children with special needs.
