Kilkenny City concert postponed due to safety concerns
The Castle Park Concert featuring Robert Grace and Morning Glory at Kilkenny Castle has been postponed due to safety priorities.
Due to safety priorities, Saturday’s Castle Park Concert featuring Robert Grace and Morning Glory (Oasis Tribute) at Kilkenny Castle has been postponed.
A Status Yellow rain and wind warning was in place for Kilkenny, with Met Éireann warning of difficult travelling conditions, localised flooding, fallen trees and debris on roads.
Market has also closed as of 5pm. The Savour and Taste Stage, Podcast and Pints and Craft Brewers and Distillers is operating as normal.
The Castle Park Concert will now take place tomorrow (Sunday) at 5.30pm.
The concert is part of the Savour Kilkenny Festival,
“All original tickets remain 100% valid for tomorrow night’s rescheduled show, no need to do a thing,” a spokesperson for Savour Kilkenny said in an update on Saturday evening.
“Both Robert Grace and Morning Glory are raring to go and can’t wait to perform for you all tomorrow evening.
“We sincerely apologise for the short notice and any inconvenience caused. The safety of our audience, artists, and crew always comes first, and we truly appreciate your understanding and support,” they added.
“See you all tomorrow night!”
Meanwhile, UPMC Nowlan Park will host an extraordinary, one-night-only event this bank holiday Monday to mark the grand finale of Savour Kilkenny Food Festival 2026 as it celebrates 20 years.
The Samhain Spectacle brings together world-renowned musicians, legendary Irish dancers, international circus elite, and Ireland’s premier fire performers for an unforgettable, immersive journey through ancient Samhain traditions.
