The Samhain Spectacle: Kíla, Jean and Alasdair, former lead performers from Lord of the Dance, Ciara Kennedy in Kilkenny this bank holiday Monday

UPMC Nowlan Park will host an extraordinary, one-night-only event this bank holiday Monday to mark the grand finale of Savour Kilkenny Food Festival 2026 as it celebrates 20 years.

The Samhain Spectacle brings together world-renowned musicians, legendary Irish dancers, international circus elite, and Ireland’s premier fire performers for an unforgettable, immersive journey through ancient Samhain traditions.

Headlining the musical performances is Kíla, one of Ireland’s most iconic and powerful live bands, delivering their immersive traditional Irish sound that anchors the entire evening. Joining them on stage are dance superstars Jean and Alasdair, former lead performers from Lord of the Dance, alongside the renowned dancer Ciara Kennedy. Storytelling from Aran Hegarty of Candlelit Tales will further weave ancient Irish folklore and traditional myth into the evening's performance.

Adding to the jaw-dropping lineup are internationally acclaimed circus performers from around the globe, brought together by Broken Theatre.

Highlights include a daring hair-hanging performance, a breathtaking aerial chains act from Ukraine. Topping off the visual feast, Ireland’s most prestigious fire group, Pyro Collective, will ignite the night with a stunning display of flame, rhythm, and movement centered around themes of abundance, gratitude and Samhain.

Tickets are €10+ BF or a Family of 4 €30+BF and are available here.

The event takes place this Monday evening at Nowlan Park in Kilkenny, with gates opening strictly via Gate 4 on Hebron Road at 7pm. The main show will begin promptly at 7.30pm and runs for approximately one hour.

Attendees are reminded that entry is restricted exclusively to Gate 4 on Hebron Road. Please note Macdonagh Junction carpark will not be open and attendees are asked to park in additional carparks in the city and stride to the venue. Organisers ask attendees not to park in residential areas.
