A plan for roadworks that will take place in the Callan-Thomastown district over the next three years is currently being drawn up.
At the September meeting of local councillors Area Engineer Declan Murphy asked for requests and information to be shared with him by the elected body.
The plan will be drawn up before the October meeting of the district councillors, for their approval. Approval for the plan will then be sought from the Department.

Councillors agreed to have a workshop on the plan before it is finalised.
The current three-year plan is coming to an end, and Mr Murphy reported to councillors what work is to be completed.
Some of the works still to be carried out will be Local Improvement Schemes in Bennettsbridge and Inistioge, work on the R7131 at Knocktopher and a Safe to School scheme on Duiske Lane in Graignamanagh.
A scheme to improve road safety in the environs of schools was approved for three schools in Graignamanagh earlier this year.
The work on Duiske Lane is scheduled to commence on September 23 next. The council is waiting for ‘sign off’ on works at the girls’ and boys’ schools.
All restoration maintenance surface dressing projects in the district have been completed and crews are now moving on to footpath and drainage works, the meeting was told.
The R7131 scheme of emergency works had to undertaken when parts began to subside, between Tirlán and the Thomastown junction at Knocktopher.
Work is scheduled for footpaths on Mill Street in Thomastown as well as Mill Street in Callan, among other areas.
