Kilkenny gardaí call out 'ugly' 'violence' in strongly worded social media post

An Garda Síochana in Kilkenny have offered their views on a programme aired by RTÉ which documented cases of racism and hate in Ireland, spurred on by activists who peddle fear of the unknown.

"The programme retold the known fact that it it is the nurses and doctors from India and Pakistan that aid us when we are sick," the garda social media post read.

"Racism and xenophobia lead to intolerance and fear but their message only flourishes when we forget our core values," the post continued.

"All violence is ugly but when it's motivated by hate it is more foul.

"The most optimistic note of the piece this evening was that it is only a very small contingent who make a massive noise," the post concluded.
