The death has occurred of Kyle Andrew Comerford of The Willows, Roseleigh, Mooncoin, Co Kilkenny, and formerly of Newtown Terrace, Thomastown.
Mr Comerford passed away on 7 January 2026 at Al-Zahra Hospital in Dubai following a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Eva, née Richardson.
According to a notice published on RIP.ie, he will be deeply missed by his wife Eva, his parents Paul and Martina, his sister Shania, his parents in law John and Helen, along with his uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing will take place at Johnston’s Funeral Home, John’s Green, Kilkenny, on Friday 16 January from 4pm to 6pm.
A private cremation service is due to take place on Saturday.
Following the announcement of his passing, tributes have been paid from across the community, including from Coláiste Cois Siúire in Mooncoin, where Mr Comerford previously completed his teaching placement.
In a post shared on social media, the school said it was deeply saddened to learn of his death.

The statement recalled the impact he made during his time at the school, noting that “during his time in our school, he showed great dedication, warmth, and enthusiasm for teaching, leaving a positive impression on both staff and students.”
The school extended its sympathies to his family and said he would be remembered with “respect and fondness” by the school community. The message concluded with the words, “Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilís.”
Messages of condolence continue to be shared online, reflecting the depth of feeling following his tragic passing.
