Ex-RTÉ star Ryan Tubridy has been showered with congratulatory messages from some of Ireland’s biggest names after sharing a photo from his recent wedding.
The broadcaster and former Late Late Show host took to Instagram to post a stylish snap of himself with his new wife, Dr Clare Kambamettu, following their intimate winter ceremony, which took place earlier this month in the west of Ireland.
“Quite the week. One lucky man,” Tubridy wrote alongside the photo. He added: “Thank you so much for all the kind wishes. And so this is Christmas.”
The Virgin Radio and Q102 radio presenter said his “I dos” to the former Rose of Tralee winner at the Abbeyglen Hotel in Connemara on Sunday, December 7, in a low-key but elegant affair, attended by close family and friends.
The post quickly sparked a wave of warm reactions, with Irish celebrities, broadcasters and sports stars rushing to the comments to offer their congratulations.

Presenter Laura Whitmore was among the first to respond, writing: “Massive congrats to you both.” Actor Amy Huberman echoed the sentiment, adding: “Huge congratulations to you both!”
RTÉ stalwart Miriam O’Callaghan also shared her delight, posting: “So thrilled for you both Ryan – huge congrats to you both.”
Broadcaster Síle Seoige offered her well wishes in Irish, commenting: “Comhghairdeachas ó chroí libh!”
Meanwhile, Ireland’s first astronaut, Dr Norah Patten, described the occasion as “Fabulous – so many congratulations,” and snooker legend Ken Doherty simply wrote: “Congratulations.”
Tubridy and Dr Kambamettu opted for a private celebration, keeping details tightly under wraps in the days leading up to the ceremony.

The couple chose the west of Ireland as the backdrop for their big day, a place that has long held personal significance for Tubridy.
Since stepping away from RTÉ following last year’s controversy, Tubridy has largely stayed out of the public spotlight, focusing on his radio work in the UK and keeping his private life private.
The reaction online suggests that goodwill towards the former Late Late Show host remains strong, with thousands of likes and messages pouring in from fans and famous friends.
