Gardaí in Meath have launched a witness appeal following a serious assault that took place in a local town just two days after Christmas.
According to authorities, a man was seriously injured in Trim on Saturday night, December 27 into Sunday morning, December 28 after an altercation with two other men. No further details have been disclosed.

The incident occurred at approximately midnight and took place at the junction of Patrick Street and Emmet Street in Trim.
