Tributes pour in following sudden and 'devastating' death of Kilkenny man

Bryan (Beanie) Bartley passed away unexpectedly on Sunday

Tributes have poured in following the sad and sudden death of Bryan (Beanie) Bartley, late of 38 Friary Walk, Callan Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Ashleigh Court, College Road, Kilkenny.

Bryan, beloved husband of Maria (nee Long) and adored father and best friend of Dylan, passed away on Sunday October 20, 2024, unexpectedly, at his home.

He is predeceased by his parents Phil and Mary Bartley and father-in-law Jimmy Long, 

Bryan will be deeply missed by his heartbroken wife and son, sister Niamh, brother Ken, mother-in-law Carmel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, uncle, aunts, cousins, extended family, kind neighbours and his many friends.

Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Bryan, with one mourner writing,

"I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your brother Bryan. He always had a friendly smile for all in Ashleigh Court. Thinking of you both and Bryan's family at this difficult time. May Bryan Rest In Peace."

Another wrote,

"So sorry to hear of the very sad passing of Bryan. I had the pleasure of working with Bryan in theatre in St Luke's. He was a true gentleman always ready to help without hesitation. Deepest sympathy to his family at this very sad time. May you rest in peace Bryan."

While another wrote,

"Absolutely heartbroken for Niamh, Ken, Maria, and Dylan. Bryan was so loved by all of you. You are all in our thoughts."

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing at his home (R95AW28) on Wednesday (October 23) from 4pm concluding with Prayers at 7pm. House private at all other times please.

Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12 noon in St. Patrick's Church, Kilkenny. Funeral afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery.
