Grennan College in Thomastown recently unveiled their brand new school newspaper, the Grennan Gazette.

The first edition is brimming with articles, poems and stories written by the talented students of the school.

On the Thursday before the Christmas break, budding journalists joined members of the Wellread Team, the book club, and the ethos leaders to mark this exciting milestone in the school’s Wellread journey.

Ms Quirke and Ms Kinsella (pictured below), who mentored the team over the past months, proudly spoke of the enthusiasm, creativity and hard work that went into the production of the inaugural edition.

To celebrate the launch, the entire school took part in a special DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) session, diving into the Gazette and marvelling at the creativity within its pages.

From the stunning masthead to top-notch reporting on school and community news to inspiring poetry and engaging stories, the students have truly excelled!

Copies of the Grennan Gazette are available from the front office where they are displayed in the school newsstand that was kindly donated by Walsh’s Centra in Thomastown.
