PICTURES: Kilkenny primary school pupils swap the classroom for the council

Could any of these Kilkenny school goers be the councillors of tomorrow?

Pupils from Muckalee National School had the 'perfect' morning in the offices of Kilkenny County Council on Friday.

Member of the school's student council were given a tour of the building, an introduction to the importance of local government.

"Massive thanks to Kilkenny County Council for their time and effort and to Pat Fitzpatrick for organising the trip," a school spokesperson said.
