Dive into another world with Swiss Panoroma Theatre at Kilkenny Arts Festival

Kilkenny Arts Festival are delighted that the renowned Swiss Panorama Kino theatre will be part of the festival line up this August.

This is a unique experience where the audience are seated inside the Kino Theatre structure. Experience it for yourself on Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11 in the stunning Kilkenny Castle Parklands, with two showings each day at 1pm and 4pm. Entry is free but places are limited so come early!

Swiss company Panorama Kino Theatre redefines the theatrical experience as its unique 360º rotating pop-up cabinet transforms reality into fantasy, provoking our senses and re-mystifying the world we inhabit creating a cinematic day-dream experience.

As the structure rotates around its own axis, that world starts to change, evolve, abstract. Not just through the actions of the actors outside, but also in collaboration with the general public, who find themselves becoming an integral part the story. The observer is no longer simply a consumer of theatre, but co-creator of it.

Together with an international cast, Panorama challenges perceptions and re-connects people with space, place and each other.
