Step into an evening of warmth, celebration, and musical magic as Kilkenny City welcomes the turning of the year with a New Year’s Eve Gala Concert — a joyful celebration designed for families, friends, and music lovers of every generation presented by Marble City Music Festival.

Taking centre stage is internationally acclaimed violinist Patrick Rafter. Patrick is joined by the soprano Laura Ahearne, harpist Claire O’Donnell, and a string orchestra comprised of Irelands’s leading instrumentalists including Jayden Lamcellari and Myn Fitzpatrick.

Set in the beautiful setting of St Canice’s RC Church, doors open from 7pm, concert start at 8pm and finish by 9.30pm.
Massenet’s Meditation will open following Bach’s glorious double violin concerto. Winter from Vivaldi’s 4 seasons makes its way before a selection of magical works including O Mio Bambino Caro.

Welcome the year ahead in the most inspiring way possible, surrounded by music, laughter, and memories that will linger long after the final note fades.
