Well wishes have been flooding in for John Holohan, his dedicated team of volunteers, and his generous donors on raising nearly €100,000 this past December.
To secure these vital funds, John and his supporters covered hundreds of miles across Ireland, traveling from Ennis to Dublin.
At a presentation night held in Crosspatrick on Friday, John and his son Danny presented the cheque to a representative from Temple Street Children's University Hospital. They explained that the funds are earmarked for two critical areas: providing out-of-hours physiotherapy for patients and supporting specialized education in Paediatric Cardiac Surgical training.

The fundraising was a true family and community effort. John’s granddaughter, Sarah, contributed a staggering €291 through her own bottle recycling collection. On the presentation night, Donal Phelan raised additional funds through a raffle featuring prizes including Ryanair vouchers, a luxury hamper, and a voucher for Nails by G, Crosspatrick.
This latest success brings the total amount raised by John and his friends over the years to an extraordinary €750,000. An amazing achievement by everyone involved in supporting such a worthy cause.
