The Kilkenny branch of the popular Mexican eatery Chingon, based on Ormonde Street in Kilkenny City is now closed, and the business has shared details of the closure on social media.
"Hey everyone, we wanted to share some news with you — our Chingon Kilkenny branch is now closed," the statement reads.

"This wasn’t an easy decision, but in today’s challenging business climate, with rising costs across all areas, we’ve decided to refocus our energy on other parts of our business.
"Moving forward, we’ll be putting our passion into the festivals and markets that have always been such a huge part of the Chingon story.
"You can still catch us every weekend at Phoenix Yard Market and at major music and food festivals all across the country!

Also announcing their closure in recent days was Mocha's Vintage Tea Room & Restaurant, based in Gas House Lane in Kilkenny City.
