A man in his 30s who was arrested in relation to a recent multi-agency operation led by gardaí in Kilkenny last month has now been charged.
This collaborative operation was the second of its kind, following an operation a few weeks previous, which focused on tackling animal cruelty, ensuring compliance with animal welfare legislation, and promoting responsible pet ownership across the county. - FULL RECAP HERE
According to local gardaí, who confirmed the details to Kilkenny Live , a man in his 30s is set to appear before the courts following the operation.
A man in his 20s, who was also arrested as part of the operation, has been released without charge.

Four properties were searched under warrant in a residential area of the Hebron area of Kilkenny City.
In total, garda sources state that "15 dogs were rescued" and "a number of horses were also examined by welfare officers."
Approximately €10,000 worth of drugs, €7,000 of suspected heroin and a further €3,000 of suspected cocaine were also seized from one property.
A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and investigations are ongoing.
According to a statement released by My Lovely Horse Rescue following the February operation, "all animals [that were seized] are now safe."
The statement continued: "They have received veterinary treatment and are being given the care, compassion and love they deserve."
