Willie Brennan

The death has occurred of Willie Brennan, Cloghala, Dungarvan, Kilkenny. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Willie on December 14, 2025, in his 95th year. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mae, his parents James and Mary, his brother Edward, and sisters Sadie, Mary, Bridie and Kitty. Willie will be greatly missed by his son Jimmy, daughters Catherine, Mary and Carmel, his daughter-in-law Mary and sons-in-law Fergus, Noel and Brian. He will be sadly missed by his 14 grandchildren and great granddaughter.

Reposing on Tuesday, December 16, in the Mercy Side Chapel, Church of the Assumption, Thomastown, R95YP97 from 4pm to 7pm pausing for prayers at 5:30pm. Requiem mass on Wednesday, December 17, at 11am in the Church of the Assumption, Gowran followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Fr. David Hickey

The death has occurred of David Hickey,  Urlingford Road, Johnstown, Kilkenny, in his 84th. year on December 14, 2025, peacefully in the excellent care of St. Luke's ICU Kilkenny following an accident. His loving family were by his side and miss him dearly. Beloved and devoted husband of Marie his wife and best friend of over 58 years, loving dad to Derek, Sineád and Enid. Sadly missed and always remembered by his daughter-in-law Melina, his grandchild Galen, Sineád's partner Conor, his brothers Harold, Frankie, and his sisters Barbra, Lucy and Martha (deceased), cousins, relatives neighbours and friends.

Family flowers only please. Family home private at all times. Funeral arrangements later.

Teresa (Honora) Delaney

The death has occurred of Teresa (Honora) Delaney, Troy’s Court, Kilkenny City and formerly of Callan, Co. Kilkenny, peacefully on December 14, 2025 surrounded by her loving family in the excellent care of all the staff in St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by her parents John and Nora (née Coady) sisters Joan and Catherine and brother Christopher. Teresa will be greatly missed by her sisters Mary, Margaret and Carmel and brother-in-law Brian. Forever loved by her nephews, nieces, extended family, excellent neighbours and loyal friends.

Teresa will repose in Shasby’s Funeral Home, Kilkenny City on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 5pm, concluding with rosary and vigil prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 18, in St. Canice’s Church, Kilkenny City at 10.30am followed by burial in Kilbride Cemetery, Callan, Co. Kilkenny. Mary Fallon (née O'Connor)

The death has occurred of Mary Fallon (née O’Connor), 27 Dolmen Gardens, Pollerton, Carlow, and  formerly of the Boundary House, Doonane Bridge, Crettyard, Co. Kilkenny.  Peacefully after a short illness bravely borne at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, on December 12, 2025. Pre-deceased by her father Patrick Joseph. Mary will be sadly missed by her loving husband Noel, daughters Meadhbh and Áine, mother Bridget, sisters Frances, Helen, Elizabeth, Catherine, Brigid, Paula, and brothers Eamon, Patrick and Liam, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Coady's Funeral Home, Castlecomer (R95 AK38) from 5pm on Tuesday, December 16, concluding with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 6.30pm. Funeral Prayers on Wednesday at 1.45pm followed by removal to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Moneenroe (via Doonane Bridge) for Requiem Mass at 2.30pm. A private cremation will take place.
