Michael Dermody

The death has occurred of Michael Dermody, Coolcashin, Gathabawn, Kilkenny. Suddenly at his residence. Pre-deceased by his parents William and Catherine and brother Liam. Deeply regretted by his sisters Breda (Clyne), Betty and Peggy, nephews Shane and Damien, brother-in-law Mel, Betty's partner John, Shane's wife Emer, Damien's partner Cleo, grandnephews Will, Jack and Paudie, grandniece Edie, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Kennedy's Funeral Home, Freshford, R95 C44T, on Thursday, March 12, at 5.30pm and pausing for prayers at 6.30pm. Funeral Mass in Gathabawn Church, E41 AV63, on Friday, March 13, at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Lachtain's Cemetery, Freshford.


Noel Walsh

The death has occurred of Noel Walsh, Boherkyle, Freshford, Kilkenny. Noel passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family in the Oak Unit, Ardkeen Hospital, Waterford after a year-long battle with cancer. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Catherine, children Serena, Jamie and Nathan, Serena's partner Daniel, father Danny, mother Statia, sister Rachel, brothers William, Pa, Daniel (Farmer Dan), Trevor, Michael (Mouse) and Enda, his brother-in-law Tom, sister-in-law Georgette, partners Olive, Bridget and Cindy, the extended Walsh and Williams families, nieces, nephews, his friends, neighbours, colleagues in KLS, the Squash community, especially Freshford, Thurles and Celtic Squash Clubs, Freshford Darts League and players.

Reposing in Kennedy's Funeral Home Freshford, R95 C44T, on Friday, March 13, from 5pm with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, March 14, at 11am in St. Lachtain's Church, Freshford, R95 K003. Burial afterwards in St. Lachtain's Cemetery. House private please. Family flowers only. Fr. Bernard Allon
The death has occurred of Fr. Bernard Allon, Ruah, Kyle, The Commons, Ballingarry, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Hexham and Newcastle Diocese, U.K. Pre-deceased by his parents George and Ellen, and his brothers and sisters. Peacefully, in the loving care of the staff at Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Crosspatrick, Kilkenny, on Tuesday,  March 10, 2026. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sorrowing family, his sister Rita, his brother-in-law Barry, his nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, great grandnieces, great- grandnephews, all the members of L’Arche Community, Kilkenny, his many friends in Ireland and abroad, relatives and neighbours.

Reposing in Molloy’s Funeral Home, Callan (Eircode R95 Y443) on Thursday,  March 12, from 4pm. Funeral Prayers at 6pm followed by removal to The Church of the Assumption, Callan. Requiem Mass on Friday,  March 13, at 11am. Burial will follow afterwards in Kilbride Cemetery, Callan. The Requiem Mass may viewed live on the following link; churchmedia.ie (Callan Parish). House private please.

Catherine Mullins (née Brennan)
The death has occurred of Catherine Mullins (née Brennan), of Glenatlucky, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork and formerly of Ballyhemon, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, surrounded by her loving family, after a short illness which she fought bravely, in the tender care of the exceptional staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by her parents Margaret and Edward Brennan and her infant son, Shane. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband, Pat, children, Sabina and Pádraic, grandson, Rían, son- in- law, Tom Henchy, daughter-in-law, Eleanor Power, Sisters, Mary Maher, Olive Doheny and Gretta Power, brothers, Paddy, Martin, Noel, Leo, and Canice, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and the extended Brennan and Mullins families, her friends, neighbours and colleagues in both Moorpark and St Vincent de Paul, Mitchelstown.

 Funeral Mass will take place in The Church of Our Lady Conceived Without Sin, Mitchelstown, P67 FT73 on Thursday, March 12, at 12pm. Followed by burial in the church yard cemetery. For those who cannot attend, the Mass can be viewed live via webcam https://www.churchservices.tv/mitchelstown. Family flowers only please, donations to St Vincent de Paul, Mitchelstown.
