The scene on the Kennyswell Road on Tuesday afternoon
***UPDATED*** - A man in his 60s has died while working on the Kennyswell Road on Tuesday morning.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene shortly after 11am in the residential area on the outskirts of Kilkenny City.
It's understood the scene is being preserved for a technical examination and the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) are investigating.
"As this is an ongoing incident no further information is available at this time," a garda spokesperson told Kilkenny Live.
The road remains closed at this time.
