Daniel Burke (Independent Ireland Party)
Daniel Burke, a 26-year-old finance professional from Ballyouskill, Kilkenny, has officially declared his candidacy for the Castlecomer Local Electoral Area (LEA) as a member of the Independent Ireland Party in the upcoming Local Elections in June.
Burke holds an Masters in Finance and Risk Management having attended the University of West London and Waterford IT where he also attained a Degree in Law and Business.
The election hopeful highlighted the migrant crisis, healthcare crisis, housing crisis, and the ‘neglect’ faced by farmers and rural communities as ‘motivation’ to enter politics.
“In observing the failures of our government over the years and the lack of consistent representation in our area, I felt compelled to take action,” Mr Burke said.
“I believe our community deserves a new, energetic voice that prioritises their interests and engages with them regularly.”
Daniel Burke also promises to be ‘a new no-nonsense voice for Kilkenny’.
Party Leader Michael Collins TD expressed his happiness at announcing that Daniel Burke will be running in the upcoming local elections.
“From the moment our team first met Daniel we were impressed with his knowledge of politics, economics and business.
“His ideas on policy and his ambition to make a real change for his local community,” he said.
