AFL future up in the air as Kilkenny ace Darragh Joyce leaves Brisbane

The Rower-Inistioge was not offered a new contract by the Brisbane Lions
The AFL future of former Kilkenny underage star Darragh Joyce is uncertain after the Brisbane Lions let the 29 year old’s contract expire earlier this week.
The Brisbane club won the AFL Premiership last month but Joyce wasn’t involved on the matchday squad as the Lions secured their third title on the trot.
The Kilkenny star has spent the last eight years in Australia and between Brisbane and his first club St Kilda, Joyce made 27 appearances in total.
It remains to be seen what the next step is for Joyce and whether he holds out for another AFL club or if a return to Kilkenny is on the cards.
