Two former Kilkenny team-mates face off against each other abroad
Two former Evergreen players are strutting their stuff on the international stage
Two former Evergreen players have gone head-to-head on the other side of the world after lining out against each other in college soccer action in the United States.
Callum Geoghan and Dylan Hunston faced off in NAIA competition, representing Cumberland Phoenix and Grand View Vikings respectively.
It was Geoghan who came out on top on this occasion, with Cumberland securing a 2-1 victory over Grand View.
Evergreen FC highlighted the encounter on social media, praising both players for their achievements since making the move to America.
“Fantastic to see two exceptional footballers and young men excelling in America,” the club said.
The meeting provided a special moment for the two former teammates, who are continuing to pursue their footballing ambitions thousands of miles from home.
