The driver of a vehicle involved in a two-car collision in County Kilkenny was rushed to hospital yesterday (Sunday) evening.

Gardaí and emergency services were among the service personnel who rushed to the scene of the crash which occurred at Killarney Bridge, near Thomastown, County Kilkenny.

According to a garda spokesperson, the collision occurred at approximately 9.20pm.

The female driver of one of the vehicles was taken from the scene to hospital for treatment of "injuries believed to be non-life-threatening."

The road has since reopened.
