Time for men's qualifier in Kilkenny Captain's prize

This weekend, at Kilkenny golf club the men will compete in the qualifying round for Club Captain, Tom Sloyan’s prize.
The qualifying round will be strokeplay and will be held on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The top 99 players will go through to the second round on Saturday, July 21 and will carry forward their first round score, which will be added to their round two score.
Successful qualifiers will go out in descending order with the leaders going out last.
The presentation of priazes will be held in the clubhouse that evening.
LEINSTER BOYS: The club will host the Leinster boys under-14 championship on Thursday. Play will be form 7.30am to 1pm.
PRESENTATION: The monthly presentation of prizes will be held on Friday (10pm).
Details of the relevant competitions will be issued during the week. All prize winners are requested to attend.
MATCHPLAY: There are still a substantial number of matches in the matchplay series that have not been completed by the scheduled dates .
This will have major implications going forward.
The person on top of the draw is responsible for arranging the match. Howeveer, every participant should play their part in completing the ties on schedule.
TEAM NEWS: In the AIG Barton Shield, Kilkenny play Elm Park in Mount Wolseley on Friday, July 20 (8.15am).
Team details have yet to be finalised.
Format - two pairs, aggregate foursomes after 18 holes.
Quarter-finals and semi-finals to be played on Friday with the final on Saturday,
Managers - Richard Duggan and Padraig O’Rourke.
COURSE NEWS: The next divot repair session will be held on Monday (5pm).
Volunteers are requested to gather in the car park.

The action will revert to the usual time on Thursday, July 19 when the seniors will compete for Club Captain, Tom Sloyan’s prize.
So the club can get an idea of numbers attending, all interested parties should enter their name on the sheet which has been posted on the senior gents notice board.
